Edit: Guys, please refrain from leaving comments like "You forgot *insert character* in this picture!". I drew plenty of characters and obviously ran out of space at some point. I know that I didn't include characters like Elise, Shara, Chaos, Honey etc... but if you already start like that then don't forget characters like Dulcy and Geoffrey either.. Geez, I didn't even include half of all existing characters! Look! sonic.wikia.com/wiki/Category:… Enjoy the picture with the characters I managed to include instead of complaining that I missed some!
I know, it's still a bit early, but I worked so much on it that I can't resist it anymore and just have to submit this NOW! >//<

Oh, it's DIN A3 by the way!!
And this was SO MUCH work! I needed about 1 week for the sketch, a few days for the outlines and about another week to color it. x__x
I made a lot of mistakes but I hope that no one sees them
I learned a lot with this picture and hope that I won't repeat those mistakes again - in case I draw such a big group picture again 
At first I absolutely didn't want more than 30 characters, and now I ended up with 42 + 15!
The 42 characters are:
Amy Rose, Antoine D'Coolette, Big the Cat + Froggy, Blaze, Bokun (Messenger Robo), Bunny Rabbot, Caliburn, Charmy, Chip, Chris, Cream + Cheese, Cosmo, E-123 Omega, Eggman, Emerl (Gizoid), Espio, Fang the Sniper, Fiona, Jet, Knuckles, Manic, Maria, Marine, Mephiles, Metal Sonic, Mighty, Mina, Nicole, Ray, Rotor, Rouge, Sally, Scourge, Shade, Shadow, Silver, Sonia, Sonic, Storm, Tails, Tikal, Vector, Wave, Yacker
...Wait.. aren't those 46? I can't count anymore! @.@
Add 2 random Chaos and 13 random Wisps to it!
Strange.. I was so sure that I included 14 Wisps and when I colored them suddenly one of them was missing! oO Oh well <.<" I forgot 2 typed of Wisps anyway so whatever! >.<
At the beginning I wanted to add a one-colored background as well, but i think it looks colorful enough and a BG would just make this picture look smudgy.
THIS WAS SO MUCH FUN AND GAVE ME THE POSSIBILITY TO DRAW CHARACTERS I WOULD'VE NEVER DRAWN OTHERWISE!!!
Oh, and I like how Rouge turned out!

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactIt's difficult to critique mass group pictures because with so many characters represented its hard to know what details to focus on...
I like how you included Chris - I've a feeling most would draw any other Sonic X character rather than him, especially since Cosmo's also there to represent the series. (I like him though, I think he's a sweet little kid!)
hehe! I like the little Froggy on Big's head, that's cute. It's good to see a lot of minor characters mixed in with the mains.
It could improve the group setting if more of the characters appeared to be interacting. Some, such as the Chaotix appear to be reacting to eachother, but most characters are just striking an isolated pose. It makes the picture as a whole look jumbled and confusing.
Or, you could have drawn the characters separately but represented more of their characters or backgrounds though their poses. Some, like Silver could show off their powers, Sally could be talking to Nicole (in pocket pc form) and Tails could have tool kit or one of his inventions.
If the group were interacting or each doing something, it would be more eyecatching because the viewer would be drawn into the story of the picture rather than just trying to spot their favourite character.
