I WANTED TO INTRODUCE THIS CHARACTER FOR SO LONG ;A; Look at the date! I drew this in November! That's when it still looked like this: [link]
(Hey, this is the perfect opportunity to see whether my coloring style has improved or not! xD)
But as I wanted to submit him to my gallery and not scraps I looked for the picture again and edited the lineart a bit. Really, first coloring it and then making proper lineart is the wrong order x'D
Anyway, now I can finally introduce him to you!

If someone wants to know which colors to use digitally, then please ask me! The traditional ones aren't 100% accurate!
But right now I don't have a better reference ^^;

Back Story:
He lost a huge part of his memories, but according to Pain who is also his friend he has been an orphan and lost his memories after an accident. As Pain told him he went to the nearby woods for fighting practice and knocked down a few trees. Cyril didn’t pay enough attention to his surroundings and got hit and buried under one of the tree trunks that fell down. When a couple that wanted to take a walk in the woods found him they immediately got help. Cyril doesn’t remember that accident or anything that happened before. It doesn’t seem to bug him a lot though as he just keeps living in the here and now. Nowadays he lives in a small flat at the border of Wandia, earning money with occasional jobs and visits his friends in the Academy once in a while.

Aaanyway, I really like Cyril! I dunno, but he's my personal favorite out of all your boys, so far. X//3
There's just something about his personality that I admire - where he might be a bit slow, yet he seems to try to be the best person he can be! u///u

... And, I'm still pretty sure that Pain is the one responsible for the loss of his memories. e.e

Anyway, his design is really awesome! And I'm at least glad that he and Mane won't end up looking too much alike, now. |DD

Wait, was is that? Over there? There is a raccoon girl, running towards us at amazing speed she didn't know she had herself and OH SHIT I THINK SHE WANTS TO KILL YOU! RUN, FOOL, RUN!!!!
I have to admit that so far he's my personal favorite as well :XD: It also feels far more comfortable to add trousers. But I didn't add trousers for the fast guys, as they would probably be rather inconvenient and therefore only added them for Cyril who is quite slow anyway.
And also, that's quite a sweet description about his character! xD

Hehe.. is he? Was it really Pain? Or was that the truth? Or maybe someone or something completely different you don't even know about? Who knows! 8D (Well obviously I do, but that won't help you! xD)

Is it because of the color scheme or the clothes in general? And I'm still curious about what Mane looks like. And as it seems I will probably be curious about it forever :XD:

:lmao: well, seeing as how the regular Sonic guys don't actually wear pants, I DO find Sonic-style characters who DO wear pants kinda odd... Buuuut, then I realize that they technically AREN'T Sonic characters, since they're a part of their own world, sooo, it's all fair-game. Besides, they fit Cyril really well. XDD

... I wanna know what he did to Ama to make her hate him so much! ;o;

Pfff ~ I'm still convinced Pain's evil. :XD: And that he had something to do with Cyril's loss of memories, whether it was direct intervention on his part, or not. :XD: Unless you pull something that makes Pain LOOK like he's gonna be the big villain, but you pull the ol' bait-and-switch at the last minute to show that he's really a good guy and he made Cyril lose his memories, for his own protection. This would make Sora the bad guy, in my opinion. :XD:
... However, I'm under the impression that it's the opposite way around - Pain is the bad guy and you're gonna make Sora seem like a bad guy, at first, when she's really not. :XD:
... Unless, I'm just over thinking all of this and they're both just bad guys. :lmao: Buuut, I'm pretty certain that Sora's a good guy or anti-hero of some sort and Pain's just plain evil. :XD:
... You have to at least spoil to me which one of those two is purely evil... I know one of them is, I'm certain of it. ;o;

Still working on the colors, though ~ I'm kinda tempted to make them similar to Cyril, because of the whole Ama-runs-from-Cyril-Juni-Mistakes-Cyril-for-Mane-Mane-gets-jealous-Ama-comes-back-to-fangirl-over-Mane ordeal. Either that, or I could just make Juni color-blind. :XD:

I usually find Sonic characters with pants to be quite odd as well, but it fits some characters, and I think it works well for Cyril, too! And you're also right - if they end up in their own story and stting etc yaddayadda anyway, perhaps it isn't all that bad.

The reason why Ama dislikes him so much is really silly. I mean, seriously. It wouldn't even be all that bad if Cy was a bit better with words :XD: But I won't tell what happened quite yet 8D I think it works well to explain that on 2-3 comic pages and that what i'm going to do sooner or later - probably later, but hey! <.<

Aww, purely evil sounds so mean, don't you think? Everyone has a reason for their behaviour, even if it doesn't make sense to others! But I really liked reading that theory~ :meow:
:XD: YES, I wouldn't mind if Mane and Cyril had a similar color scheme 8D That would make the whole Ama-runs-from-Cyril-Juni-Mistakes-Cyril-for-Mane-Mane-gets-jealous-Ama-comes-back-to-fangirl-over-Mane stuation a lot more believable and hilarious :XD: The final decision is up o you, though! Making Juni color blind sounds like an interesting disability though o: Perhaps you could do both! Similar colors and a colorblind Juni xD
