ACEO #20 - Chaotix Recital

This was for a trade with the dear Tiara-C who asked for Team Chaotix, and I relatively quickly decided that I wanted to do something with their team blast, as shown in Sonic Heroes! I always thought it was funny how they attacked their enemies with music and wanted to show that xD Since the team blast is called Chaotix Recital, that easily helped me come up with a title for this card.

Drawing Charmy was a lot of fun >u< Espio with that head of his and the shamisen in his hands was a bit challenging, but Vector was definitely the most difficult to draw xD When I eventually lined and colored them I was wondering about the background... actually I wanted to go for something closer to how it is depicted in Sonic Heroes - a dark background with colorful lights and notes! But while I think it would have worked well digitally, I was really afraid of messing up traditionally >///< So, looking for background inspirations, I eventually made the decision to go with something Casino related (as also shown in a few Heroes stages!) and eventually even added more detail than I previously thought i would xD Coloring the lights with their transitions and highlight was really cool >u<
